Celtic Football Club
When Glasgow Celtic FC was scheduled to play Inter Milan in the Europa League, it rekindled memories of their most famous previous match – the European Cup Final in 1967 which saw Celtic crowned Champions of Europe. To announce the match and commemorate the occasion, we designed a series of posters and programme covers.
Converted into banners to line the roads approaching the ground and to dress the stadium itself, it was the first time Celtic had done this for one match. The event was the biggest attended game of the season.
Celtic FC - Because
As a football fan, you might think you need no reminding of why being there is better than watching at home. But actually, you do. Our "Because" campaign tapped into these truths for Celtic FC’s 2015/16 season ticket campaign and touched on all the reasons Celtic fans have for following their team. We created a film which was viewed more than 10,000 times. And more than 600 fans responded with "Because" reasons of their own. Even more importantly, despite the absence of old Rivals Rangers and exiting the Champions League, ticket sales held fast through a tough season.
The sound of Celtic
For the 2015/16 Season Ticket campaign, our creative thrusts the rallying cry of the fans into the spotlight - emphasising the power that’s created when season ticket holders show their support in-stadium. Visual cues drive home that the fans fuel the club, while copy reiterates the extra strength created by the sound of the fans. For this campaign we created film, outdoor, in-stadium, poster, press and digital assets, as well as designing and developing The Sound of Celtic.
