Positioning ABZ as a fuss-free way to fly
ABERDEEN AIRPORT
The brief
As part of the AGS Group, we were tasked with developing a new campaign platform and design system for Aberdeen Airport – one that would encourage more people to choose “ABZ” as their departure point.
The work
Passenger research revealed that 85% found the airport “easy to navigate,” with 3 in 4 citing short queues and a smooth experience as key reasons for choosing it. These insights uncovered a simple truth that Aberdeen offers one of the most effortless journeys in the UK.
This led us to “As Easy as ABZ” – a confident, memorable campaign that plays on the airport’s IATA code while spotlighting its standout strengths: convenience, speed, and simplicity.
Visually, the design was built around the iconic shape of an airplane window – a symbol of possibility, escape, and all the places ABZ can take you with ease.
